La'Carol Pratt is a dedicated educator and learning professional with a passion for both academic excellence and spiritual growth. Beginning her career as an English educator, La'Carol honed her skills in teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement. Her desire to expand her impact led her to transition into the field of Learning and Development, where she has spent the past two years designing and delivering effective training solutions.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary, following a heartfelt calling to serve the church through education. La'Carol has always felt a strong connection to teaching and developing others. When the Lord impressed upon her spirit that her gift was in guiding and educating, she committed herself to seeking His direction.
Through her theological studies, she has found peace and purpose in learning Scripture. One of her key realizations has been the gap in biblical learning. The tendency for many to approach the Bible with a focus on personal gain rather than seeking to understand who the Lord is, His unchanging nature, and how His Word applies to modern life. Balancing her professional and spiritual callings, La'Carol is dedicated to creating impactful learning materials from e-learning courses to coaching guides that remain faithful to biblical teachings while making Scripture accessible and applicable.
Outside of her work and studies, La'Carol enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter. She finds relaxation in nature, whether it's a peaceful walk outdoors or simply soaking in the beauty of God's creation. A true fan of balance, she also loves binge-watching her favorite TV shows in her downtime. LaCarol Pratt is committed to merging her gifts in education and ministry, striving to equip others with the knowledge and understanding of Gods Word clearly, engaging, and transformative.
Experience
Leading discovery meetings to define deliverables and collaborate with business partners across departments. Responsibilities include visiting stores for feedback on training, delegating tasks to team members, and managing multiple projects using tools like Monday.com and Excel. The position ensures brand consistency for Dave & Buster’s and Main Event, manages training via Workday, and designs content using Adobe Suites, Articulate, and Vyond. Additionally, it involves analyzing training reports to improve learning effectiveness and updating training materials to align with business changes.
Contracting role responsible for managing several departments' learning materials in a timely and strict time frame. Using Articulate, Powtoon, and Canva to develop e-learning and job aids to grow managers and staff members further. Conducted meetings with the department head for needs analysis, collaboration,
and offering advice for the methods of learning, materials needed, and
initiating timelines. Responsible for sole communication throughout Project
Management with an Excel sheet, emails, and reviews.
The role involves creating written materials for Learning and Development, focusing on debunking myths, highlighting conferences and events, and covering key topics in the field. Responsibilities include developing e-learning content by writing detailed step-by-step design directions from storyboards and scripts, selecting appropriate media, determining slide transitions, and ensuring brand consistency. E-learning is created using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Synthesia, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and WellSaid Labs for voiceovers.
